    The XL3483 features slew-rate limited drivers that minimize electromagnetic interference and reduce reflections caused by improperly terminated cables, allowing error-free data transmission at data rates up to 250kbps, 2.5Mbps. The drivers feature short-circuit current limiting and prevent excessive power dissipation via thermal shutdown circuitry that puts the driver outputs into a high-impedance state. The receiver inputs feature a fault-protection feature that guarantees a logic-high output if both inputs are open circuit.
