These octal bus transceivers are designed for asynchronous bidirectional communication between data buses. The control function is implemented to minimize external timing requirements. The 74HC245 device allows data transfer from bus A to bus B or bus B to bus A, depending on the logic level at the direction control (DIR) input. The output Enable (OE) input disables the device, thereby effectively isolating the bus.
