Product details

The 386 is a power amplifier designed for low voltage user applications. The gain is set internally to 20 to keep the external part count low, but adding an external resistor and capacitor between pin 1 and pin 8 will increase the gain to any value between 20 and 200. The input is a ground reference, while the output is automatically biased to half the supply voltage with a static power consumption of only 24 milliwatts, when running from a 6 volt supply. Makes the 386 ideal for battery operation.
